Start by confirming that the app supports the way you actually trade. That means checking which markets are accessible from mobile, which order types can be placed and modified, and whether the app lets you manage positions opened on the desktop platform. The most reliable check is a demo account, if the broker offers one, tested on the exact phone or tablet you plan to use. Reviews written on other devices or older app versions may not reflect what you will experience.

- Test placing, amending and closing orders, including stop and limit orders, in a demo environment if available.
- Check whether positions and watchlists sync between mobile and desktop platforms.
