RSS (Really Simple Syndication) allows you to subscribe to a website’s content through a “webfeed” that’s gathered by a feed aggregator. This aggregator saves a website’s feed for later use. When a website updates their page, your feed reader retrieves the data and makes it easily accessible for later use.
The Web 2.0 revolution allows content to be freely exchange throughout the internet. When you setup a feed reader, you can check up on thousands of sites literally within minutes. It’s especially popular among blogs and large news networks like Reuters and USA Today.
The standard RSS icon is a bright orange icon.
