Networth IQ, a personal net worth tracker, is a great tool to help us keep track of our growing net worth.
The site is collects data from all its users and reports statistics based on age, income, education, and occupation. Users can view all the net worth statistics and compare their personal data with the overall trends.
Thru 11/06/06, Networth has collected the following data:
Of this data, the most interesting stat may be the over dominance of college-educated users versus high school graduates, which make up 39% and 25% of the total users respectively. Maybe college graduates follow their finances more closely than non-grads? It might be too broad of an inference, but is still an interesting conclusion.

Thanks for the review, it’s great to see people scrutinizing the statistics. I just updated them for the December as well, but things won’t look a whole lot different.
I’ve wondered about the education skew in our users too. Could be a number of things I suppose, including what you mention, with the more education, the more you follow your finances. I think there’s the possibility of some technology gap as well. Another big component is in not yet cracking the mainstream. Bloggers, blog readers, and the types of occupations (lot of accountants, programmers, and lawyers) we’re seeing in general would be more highly educated.
I’d love to see some more balance in those numbers though.
