What do Africa and the Middle East have in unparalleled quantities? Potential. Potential wealth that investors can earn a share of by buying stock in foreign companies, particularly equities based in Africa and the Middle East.

The overseas potential for foreign investments in Africa and the Middle East looks bright. The natural resources are vast in this region and has lots of growth ahead of it. These investments carry more risk due to the political unrest in both regions, especially with the middle eastern oil conflict.

When investing in foreign markets, the strength of the US dollar versus the international currency is equally important. Depending on the foreign exchange rate, your gains could be less or more, the exchange rate really matters.
