The Street’s Jim Cramer is most known for his CNBC network show, Mad Money. Cramer is a unique individual who brings experience and knowledge to a show that trains the average investor to think like a pro. He delivers high quality information, but can get carried away at times. His tendency to launch books across the stage or toss an office chair or two keeps his listeners sane. Jim Cramer lets his viewers know, “Hey, I’m not just some boring stock guy. I can be fun, too.”
Jim Cramer’s Investing Personality
Callers often greet Cramer with a cheerful “booyah,” a phrase Cramer adopted from a frequent caller who yelled booyah after making some mad money in the stock market. This is just one of the many ways Cramer connects to his viewers, and in return he gives them stock advice. In October 2006 Cramer told viewers to buy shares of Starbucks (symbol: SBUX). He said, “Starbucks was a damaged stock, not a damaged company.” As of today, Starbucks is hovering around $39 and doesn’t look like it’s done going up. His gift for stocks outweights many of Cramer’s idiosyncrasies. Cramer acts quite odd at times, but ultimately his show is a great example of how exciting investing is and should always be.
