Good writeup. It is true the ECLIA is a detection device (see my web page for much more on this). A PE of 22 IS CHEAP when people consider that the 5 year growth rate is estimated at 42% per year.
Even if it turns out to be 30% a year the PEG would still be .73.

Regarding the COO- I know he is involved in a distribution business but I am not sure that he plans to sell HIFU and ECLIA technology. He may just distribute CMED, GE, and other companies’ products.

After all HIFU technology is takes a lot of capital to begin. ECLIA is cheaper. Still it is something to think about and possibly be concerned by.

1 more question: the COO resignation really worries me. I couldn’t find any information on CMED’s registered patents. Perhaps their technologies aren’t protected by a wide enough moat. How detrimental would a direct competitor be to CMED’s core businesses?

I think you mean “detect” not “treat”. (I’ve never heard of an ELISA to treat a disease) Otherwise a good write up (especially since I don’t think you have a science background). I think I’m going to delve a little deeper into them although with a PE at 22+ they certainly aren’t cheap.
